In Hawaii... I'm swimming in the warm blue waters off Oahu Island. I'm taking runs up tall Diamond Head.
Here is a picture of my brother, Anson's, backyard.
Here is a nice view from my brother's balcony.
A picture of the sunset off
A view of Diamond Head's beach (where I took my first swim in Oahu's waters and got my first 'Hawaiian tan' :).
Ok...disregard the pictureless captions, I am on dial-up and apparently I can't upload any pics. I'll upload them later in the week when I get on broadband.
I went surfing today at Weilalupe. I got up ONCE and didn't make it to my feet, so took the wave in on my knees :P. We had to swim 1/4 mile from the pier to the waves. It was a high tide and it was windy, so the water was choppy. Since the water was so choppy the waves were breaking too high on the water, so there was nothing... it was bad. The waves weren't really waves since the water was so bad.. we couldn't get anything- it was all crap.
PLUS
Larissa got burnt on the back of her legs...why? cause Anson didn't tell me- Hey! Be sure to put some sunscreen on the back of your legs since we will be laying on the board for 2 hrs! Fortunately I'm in Hawaii, so I can pull a leaf from one of the local aloe plants and rub the juice on my burn :) This BETTER go away tomorrow! I told myself I would NOT get burnt on this trip.
I cleared out my brother's backyard. There was tons of dead plants and leaves.
Now? Enjoy the sunset and nice weather...maybe grab a beer.
Or maybe not...
Quick, cause Larissa is
tired!
Larissa is now a certified scuba diver! I did my 4 final dives at
Breakwater Cove I saw some fish, lots of kelp, starfish, sea anenomes, crabs and a snorkel.
Woo... Larissa is slowly overcoming her fear of water. I never really realized it, but yea, I think I'm kind of scared of the ocean. I think it is from all the skin diving and playing in the ocean when I was little. I remember getting pulled by currents and drifted by waves. Being in an area (or situation) where your oxygen can easily be restricted is kind of scary. So, scuba is a new 'thrill' for me. I'm not scared, but psyched about jumping off bridges

flying gliders

parasailing

or jumping out of airplanes

and scared of the ocean...Hm... well we all have our 'phobia'... so yea, scuba is a new adventure... thrilling, but like scary. I'm sure once I get comfortable with diving the 'phobe' will be lost. Interesting...
Other news?
Flag football - won 1 game, lost 1 game. Softball? We've been doing
horrible. I don't think we made it to the finals...Fantasy football team? Bad, it is NOT going my way! School? Begin again on October 5th-Communications 470. Work? Insane of course. I think I'm beginning to dislike support. House? I think it keeps getting messy? Car? How come I keep noticing MORE scratches? HUH? 500-Bike? I need to get my rear end over to Matt's to finish it! 600-Bike? Pissed at me cause I haven't been riding...Fitness? Good, I can lift 135lbs atleast 5 xs, so my max should be 145?
Sleep? NEED TO GET SOME...
Ok, looks like this is now a 'weekend diary' :).
Last weekend? Fun! Friday night I didn't do anything :) Hung out at home, did some laundry, watched some of my scuba dive dvd and read some of the manual.
Saturday I ran errands. Mario took me out to dinner at
Alexander's Steakhouse. I had their Tatake, which I have JUST found out through searching for this description, that it is called
TarTare, not Tatake. So, RAW steak? Hm, nah.. no thanks. I THOUGHT I liked steak raw, but this is like RAW, so no flavor (well blood flavor). Good food, after I exchanged that for reg Filet Mignon :).
Sat night we headed up to the city, to have drinks, cake, chit chat, and hang out at
The Cellar. So, I had a nice time, danced, chatted, ate cake....

Some of the girls...
I had too many drinks and here are some photos I don't remember taking:

Yea, she's dancing by herself

Dancing with Ttanya...

Aw, I'm trying to look all nice, lol... yea, Lars is
gone
Oh, look, she is hanging on a parking meter? Lars is
gone
Oh how nice :)
I went to the A's game on Sunday, chugging my Pedia Lite for assistance :) (Pedia Lite does wonders for hangovers :)). A's lost, oh well.
Monday? Not much of anything... went to eat at Traildust BBQ joint in Morgan Hill. Mmmm... smoked bbq :).
Tuesday? DMV, gym, Bday lunch with Curtis and Rose.
Wednesday? Went to the
Melting Pot- a Fondue resturant. It was my friend Young's gf's (Adrie) bday. Actually, pretty interesting, good, and VERY FILLING....shoot, I don't want to know how much I weigh right now...
Whoa.. Lars is 25 :)
BED!
